Nitrile Rubber V-Rings: An all rubber seal that is designed for rotary shafts that can compensate for greater tolerance and angular deviation, preventing grease or oil leakage, but also to keep out foreign intrusion. Nitrile or NBR or Buna-N is the most commonly used material. It has good heat resistance properties, good resistance to oils, salt solutions, hydraulic oils and gasoline. Operation temperatures are recommended from -40 deg C to +120 deg C. It also functions well under dry environment, but only for intermittent periods. The disadvantage is poor chemical resistance.
